Richards, Little spark Bulldogs

MACHIAS – Ty Richards scored a game-high 15 points and Matt Little had 13 points and 18 rebounds Monday as the Machias boys basketball team triumphed 71-37 over Calvary Chapel of Orrington.

Richards had eight points in the second quarter as the Bulldogs outscored the Sabers 25-8.

T.J. Spencer had 11 points for the winners, and Noah Prescott chipped in 10.

Luke Martin’s 10 points and Zac Austin’s eight paced Calvary Chapel.

Timmy Gross led all scorers with 25 points for the Hornets, and Jordan Jones had eight.
