Outlook: The Black Bears look to stop a two-game skid against the Colonials. UMaine has been plagued by inconsistency as coach Cindy Blodgett tries to blend the newcomers with the veterans. The Bears continue to struggle with turnovers (25.4 per game) and are shooting only 37 percent from the field and 66 percent from the foul line. Baranowski has been the offensive leader. Robert Morris is the two-time defending champion of the Northeast Conference, has made back-to-back NCAA tourney trips and participated in the Preseason WNIT. The Colonials have two returning starters in the Williamses, while transfers Johnson and Jones have made an impact. RMU runs the dribble-drive motion offense, which means UMaine must move its collective feet and avoid reaching to stay out of foul trouble and keep RMU off the line.
