Houlton police seek help finding 2 teens

HOULTON – The Houlton Police Department seeks information Monday on the whereabouts of two area teenagers.

Police Chief Butch Asselin said Monday the department was notified Sept. 9 that 15-year-old Dustin Smith was missing. Smith, who resides on the White Settlement Road, is considered an endangered runaway, according to Asselin.

He was reported missing after he failed to show up for school. He has no means of financial support and took no clothing with him when he left home.

The chief said Smith might be accompanied by his girlfriend, Kassandra D. LeClaire, also of Houlton. Her age was not available.

The girl was reported missing by a foster parent and may be communicating with people in the surrounding area.

Smith is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and has brown hair. LeClaire is approximately the same height and has blond hair.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the department at 532-2287.
