Becker rallies past MMA

CASTINE – Gabriel Prophet threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jacques Faubles and a Raheim Bass interception and 64-yard return set up Paul Casimir’s 2-yard touchdown run that rallied Becker from a 26-20 deficit to a 34-32 college football win over Maine Maritime Academy Saturday.

Nick Bourassa’s 8-yard touchdown run capped an 80-yard drive to pull MMA within two with 51 seconds left but Bourassa’s potential game-tying two-point conversion run was stacked up by the Becker defense.

Maine Maritime Academy built a 20-6 lead on Jim Bower’s 48-yard touchdown run, Todd Murphy’s 16-yard scamper and Bower’s 3-yard run.
