Calais hospital doing community survey

CALAIS – Calais Regional Hospital is conducting a community survey. The data collected will provide information to help the hospital plan for the future of the area’s community health needs.

Avatar International Inc., a national survey company, will contact many households in the hospital’s service area through random selection. This process will give hospital officials feedback from three distinct segments of our communities: recent patients, former patients and nonpatients.

The survey will enable the staff to determine how effective they are at communicating information about services available, providing the needed services for the communities and the overall reputation of the hospital. The survey also can reveal any medical service gaps that may exist within the communities, which could suggest new or expanded services are needed.

If you or someone you know receives a survey, take the time to participate and-or encourage participation. The more feedback received, the better the staff will be able to plan for the health care of area families. Those who participate will have the option of signing up for two drawings for $100 gift certificates for heating fuel.

If you did not receive a survey and would like to complete one, contact the CRH Community Relations Department at 454-9262 or at community@calaishospital.org. For any questions regarding the survey or survey process, contact DeeDee Travis, CRH director of community relations, development and customer service at 454-9227.
