Fishing representative to attend public forums

ELLSWORTH – A fisherman from Port Clyde who recently was appointed to represent Maine on the New England Fishery Management Council is scheduled to appear at public forums in the next few days in Hancock and Washington counties. Fishermen are invited to meet with Gary Libby of the Midcoast Fishermen’s Association to discuss their concerns about the fishing industry.

Libby is scheduled to be at the Penobscot East Resource Center in Stonington from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today. On Saturday, he’ll be at Gouldsboro Town Hall from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Harbor House in Southwest Harbor from 2 to 3 p.m., and at the Bar Harbor Municipal Building from 4 to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, Libby will be at Jonesport High School from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and at Eastport Boat School from 3 to 4 p.m.
