Senior online auction set to begin March 8

AUGUSTA – Spectrum Generations (formerly Senior Spectrum) is sponsoring a new way to show support for Maine’s older adults and their families – an online auction.

“Doors” will open to Spectrum Generations’ Online Auction on March 8 when bidders can participate by going to www.spectrumgenerations.cmarket.com. The auction will run through March 30 and promises to have a major impact on the organization’s community.

Donations are still being accepted. If you wish to donate, log onto the site and click the “Donate Now” button. Users may also contribute to the auction’s success by using the “Tell A Friend” button on the Web site.

Money raised by the auction will go toward programs and services designed to serve adults and their families as they mature through their lives, regardless of their age. Spectrum Generations’ mission is to help people take charge of their aging and look to continually improve their quality of life – physically, spiritually and mentally.

Items up for bid include: A professional family photo package valued at $300, a spa treatment, a pearl and amethyst jewelry set, a hand-knit Peruvian wool handbag, original artwork, gift certificates and trips.
