Outlook: Canisius didn’t look like a 1-10 team in a 23-point loss to No. 14 West Virginia last week. Maine must exploit its height advantage over the guard-oriented Griffins, who are averaging a respectable 34.4 rebounds per game. Maine is averaging 38.7 while Canisius’ opponents are averaging 37.9. Canisius’ greatest disparity is in points scored, where it is scoring 59.9 points while giving up 74.4 per game. Both teams feature depth and youth with one senior apiece. Canisius has seven players with five starts or more. If the Bears can control the boards and limit their turnovers, they should start a four-game road trip on a winning note.
