Colby College junior midfielder Todd Boertzel was named the NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Boertzel had a goal and two assists in a 4-0 win over Trinity. He also leads the league in assists per game (1.25) and is third in points per game (1.75).
University of Southern Maine senior midfielder Samantha Rennie was honored as the Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the Little East Conference. Rennie scored four times to lead the Huskies to a 2-0-0 week.
University of Southern Maine sophomore goalkeeper Allie Hill was named the Little East Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week. Hill had a 1.09 goals against average with 17 saves in a 1-1 week.
Husson College freshman forward Courtney Allen of Gardiner was named the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week. Allen had three goals in a 3-0 week for the Eagles.
Husson College junior forward Katie Nickerson was honored as the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Nickerson had three assists and two goals in a 2-0 week.
Freshman forward Megan LaJoie of Husson College was named the North Atlantic Conference Co-Rookie of the Week for Women’s Soccer. LaJoie scored two goals and assisted another in a 2-0 week.
Maine Maritime Academy freshman midfielder Katie Hutchinson was honored as the Women’s Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Hutchinson had 2 goals and an assist in a 1-1 week.
Maine Maritime Academy sophomore middle hitter Amy Young was named the North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Young had 48 kills, 12 assists, 49 digs and 13 blocks in a 2-1 week.
Husson College freshman Kimbre Chase was honored as the Volleyball Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Chase totaled 13 kills, 13 aces and 24 digs in a 4-0 week.
Husson College freshman Nick Pelletier of Orrington was named the North Atlantic Conference Golf Rookie of the Week. Pelletier finished tied for first on the first day of a modified score tournament at Colby College and was second after day two.
Adkins, a senior running back and defensive back for the Foxcroft Academy football team, has been named the LTC player of the week for Week 4 of the season. Adkins rushed for 114 yards on just eight carries in the Ponies’ 34-0 win over Orono, including a 20-yard touchdown run. Adkins also had an interception and six tackles on defense and 87 return yards.
