Bradford, Madden lead EMCC

BANGOR – Kyle Bradford scored 23 points and Josh Madden added 20 as Eastern Maine Community College earned an 87-68 men’s basketball win over Unity College Tuesday night.

Eddie Carey contributed 19 points and Doug Robinson 10 for the Golden Eagles.

Ned Girand paced Unity with 27 points, while Jared Erskine scored 16.

At Standish, Pat Halloran buried six 3-pointers en route to 24 points to lead Bates College of Lewiston past host St. Joseph’s.

Bryan Wholey tossed in 17 points for the Bobcats, who placed four scorers in double figures. Zak Ray notched 14 points and nine rebounds and Rob Stockwell added 12 points.

Chad Pulkkinen led all scorers with 27 points for the Monks while Elbie Murphy added 19.
