Absentee balloting available in Brewer

BREWER – City voters will be able to cast ballots early for the Nov. 7 statewide general election and annual city election at the Brewer Auditorium starting Monday.

“We’ve had 323 [absentee ballots submitted] to date,” City Clerk Archie Verow said Friday.

Approximately 6,600 people are registered to vote in Brewer. Residents can vote from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at both City Hall and the Brewer Auditorium and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at City Hall only.

Residents also can register to vote during those hours, but must bring identification and proof they live in Brewer, such as a tax bill or mail. The polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the statewide election, Nov. 7.
