News in brief BANGOR: BRITS STOP IN TOWN

Members of the Royal Air Force remained in Bangor on Thursday after their scheduled flight was grounded due to a maintenance issue. More than 70 RAF airmen traveling to Belize in Central America for a training mission stopped Wednesday in Bangor for a scheduled layover, Tony Caruso, assistant director of the Bangor International Airport, said Thursday. When the maintenance issue arose, however, the airmen had to remain in town for Thursday night as well. Caruso said the trip was part of a routine training mission and that the RAF frequently travels through Bangor.
