CARIBOU – A 23-year-old Woodland man has been charged with visual sexual aggression, according to Caribou Police Officer Kevin St. Peter.
Jonah Polichak was arrested Tuesday. He has been released on $6,000 surety bail. The charge against Polichak is a class C felony.
St. Peter said the complaint on Polichak came Oct. 8. It is alleged that he was chatting with a 12-year-old girl on the Internet and that inappropriate things were going on.
St. Peter said a search warrant was executed at Polichak’s residence. Computers were seized. The computers will be analyzed at the Maine State Police computer lab.
St. Peter said citizens should be prudent in the use of home computers. He said there have been recent arrests in Caribou of violation of protection orders. Those arrested were using e-mail to harass another person.
