University of Southern Maine junior Nick Wheeler has been named the Little East Conference Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week. Wheeler finished sixth out of 115 competitors at the Maine State Cross Country Championship with a time of 26:03:55.
Sinisa Bajic
University of Southern Maine sophomore forward Sinisa Bajic has been named the Little East Conference men’s soccer co-Player of the Week. Bajic scored all six USM goals as the Huskies had a 2-0 week, highlighted by his career-best four-goal outburst in a 4-3 victory over UMass Dartmouth.
Ann Zeigler
Junior Ann Zeigler of Bowdoin College has been recognized as the NESCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. Zeigler scored five goals in two-straight wins for the Polar Bears.
Jody Ann Blake
Jody Ann Blake, a freshman midfielder for the University of Maine at Fort Kent has been named the Sunrise Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Blake scored six goals and had six assists in a 4-0 week for the Bengals.
Heather Hartman
Junior goalie Heather Hartman of the University of Maine at Fort Kent was named Sunrise Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Hartman posted four shutouts as the Lady Bengals remained undefeated.
Noe Aparacio
University of Maine at Fort Kent junior midfielder Noe Aparacio has been named the Sunrise Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Aparacio had two goals and eight assists in a 3-0 week for the Bengals.
Lily Porteus
Senior Lily Porteus has been named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week. The UMaine-Fort Kent outside hitter had 51 kills and 12 aces in four matches.
Rianne Baker
University of Maine at Fort Kent freshman outside hitter Rianne Baker has been named the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week. Barker had 38 kills and 28 aces in four matches.
