Caribou local elections to fill 5 municipal posts

CARIBOU – Caribou residents will fill five elected positions during municipal elections that will be held Election Day, Nov. 7.

Up for grabs are two three-year seats on the Caribou City Council, two three-year seats on the Caribou Board of Education and one three-year seat on the Jefferson Cary Memorial Hospital Fund.

One incumbent veteran on the Caribou City Council, Reginald Reed, is not seeking re-election. Incumbent Wilfred Martin Jr. is seeking re-election and is opposed by Karla Bell, Sandy Merritt and Robert Price.

Both incumbents on the Caribou Board of Education, Jeryln Williams and Dale Gordon, are seeking re-election. They are opposed by Pamela Buck and Tony Roy.

Betty Hatch is unopposed for the Jefferson Cary Memorial Hospital Fund board.

Elections will be held between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Caribou Learning Center at 75 Bennett Drive.
