I have never thought we should pass legislation that is not thoroughly understood. The so-called Taxpayer Bill of Rights is one such piece. This referendum question has been discussed at length.
I have heard the supporters debate the issue, giving their interpretation of what the question means. If we have to debate the meaning and effects, it is obvious the meaning and wording of the question are not clear. This lack of clarity alone is a reason to vote no.
Until all sides can agree on the meaning of the wording, we cannot put this flawed question into effect.
To do so could devastate our communities and schools.
