Correcting the record

A story published Saturday on the Knox Woolen Mill in Camden requires clarification. Local historian Barbara Dyer did not characterize the employee housing community as ghetto-style. She said the area known as Millville housed families of millworkers and businesspeople alike. Also, there was a grade school and a high school in that section of town, she said.

In a Saturday story regarding routes SAD 46 children walk to school in connection with residences of registered sex offenders, the route that particularly concerned parents was the Pine Street area in Dexter. There are no registered sex offenders on Pine Street, but they do live on neighboring streets.

In an Oct. 2 story about the latest military deaths in Iraq, The Associated Press erroneously reported the division of Army Spc. Robert F. Weber. It was the 2nd Infantry Division, not the 25th Infantry Division.
