CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kristen Healy scored the game’s lone goal unassisted to lift the University of Maine field hockey team to a 1-0 win over Cornell University Monday.
Maygan Cassarino made 14 saves on 21 shots for the 5-8 Black Bears.
Lizzie Goldblatt made two saves on five shots for 4-5 Cornell.

At Farmington Sunday, Travis Parent and Robert Allan scored a goal apiece as UMaine-Presque Isle shutout UMaine-Farmington.
Trevor Hews notched an assist for the 5-5 Owls. Scott Clenchy saved all seven shots he faced.
Brian Lemont made seven saves on nine shots for the 4-5-2 Beavers.
UM-Machias 2, Vermont Tech 1
At Machias, Christian Villatoro scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals to help the Clippers prevail.
Villatoro converted a penalty kick in the 15th minute to tie the game after Matt Huisinga scored for Vermont Technical College in the ninth minute. Villatoro broke the tie in the 67th minute when he got a breakaway off a Larry Frohen through-ball.
Kellen Shaver of UMaine-Machias made eight saves on 20 shots. Vermont Tech’s Matt Rendine stopped four of 19 shots.
Bates 5, Endicott 0
At Lewiston, Molly Wagner scored two goals as Bates handed Endicott its second loss of the season.
Jen Marino tallied a goal and an assist and Jessie Gargiulo and Kim Alexander scored a goal apiece. Julie Brown notched two assists and Mary Bucci added another. Mia Lidofsky and Nini Spalding combined to make five saves on eight shots for the Bobcats.
Tina Loguidice had nine saves on 32 shots for the 12-2 Gulls.
UM-Machias 1, Vermont Tech 0
At Machias, Christy Moon scored off a Alyssa Larochelle assist to lift the Clippers.
Alicia Schmidt made one save on four shots for UMaine-Machias.
Chelsea Carpenter stopped 10 of 22 shots for Vermont Technical College.
