Greeters cheer troops

My husband and I have a daughter and son-in-law stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. Master Sgt. David Beeson is on his way to Iraq.

When he received his orders his wife, Tech. Sgt. Lori Beeson, told him about the Bangor troop greeters and said to let her know if he got advance word of landing in Bangor so we could get to see him. With everything on his mind he forgot about it all.

Then, on his way overseas recently, his plane landed in Bangor and the troop greeters were there at 10 p.m. Being down in spirits after just leaving his wife, six children from their blended family and a new grandchild he was amazed and cheered that the greeters, children included, were there at that time of night to see them all off.

I am sure that’s one part of his tour he’ll never forget. Thank you, greeters. Our troops need all the cheering up they can get when heading overseas to face the unknown dangers of war.
