NFL player deserves more punishment
Last weekend an NFL player kicked the helmet off a downed opponent, then stomped on his face with his cleats, causing the player to require 30 stitches. For punishment, he was suspended for five games.
This is not an act that should be ruled on by the NFL. It was a vicious criminal act, committed by a man who has a history of violent behavior, and [who] needs to be locked up, but, of course, won’t be.

Web site missed UMaine hockey game
Last Friday night the Maine men’s hockey team came to Minnesota to play our hockey team. Maine won, pretty convincingly, so early Saturday morning I wanted to look up what the Bangor Daily News had to say about the game on its Web site.
What are you people – part of Canada? I couldn’t find any info on the game even being played on the Web site. Now I realize that without the Canadian influx of players Maine probably couldn’t field a team and therefore, no interest. Is this true?
