Here in Bangor, we have been fortunate to find a city councilor and mayor like Frank Farrington. Over the years, he has brought common sense to every issue before the City Council. This election year, we have to look critically at our state Senate and elect members of the Legislature who live up to the standards of service that Maine needs in order to grow.
Commissioner Rebecca Wyke has just reported a potential $570 million structural gap for the 2008-2009 state budget. That may be only the tip of the deficit, just ask any hospital in the state how many millions and millions are currently owed to them by the state.
Frank Farrington is an example of what a candidate and senator should be. He is a successful businessman who has the ability to bring a critical eye to every decision of the Legislature. I believe Farrington will give Bangor and Hermon real representation in Augusta. He deserves our vote.
