Residents voted to approve all 16 budget articles in less than 40 minutes Thursday night in the Hermon High School auditorium. Nearly 40 residents showed up to vote on the $14.7 million budget, but fewer than five questions were asked of the town and school officials present to field questions. Most of the questions were simply to clarify the budget-making process. “I think it’s a very effective process,” said Jean Brown, 70. “The more knowledge people around town have, the smoother this meeting goes,” she said, noting her many years of experience as a Hermon native.
