County Physical Therapy expands in Houlton

HOULTON – A local business that keeps people moving has done some moving of its own.

County Physical Therapy LLC confirmed earlier this week that it had moved its Houlton outpatient clinic to 4 North St.

The facility had previously been located at 64 North St.

The new clinic is located in the TD Banknorth Plaza in a building that once housed Community Pharmacy.

County Physical Therapy opened its doors to offer physical therapy and other rehabilitation services to Aroostook County residents in 1987. The Houlton rehabilitation clinic has served the community since 2001.

Peter Madore, a physical therapist at CPT, said in a press release that staffers are excited to be able to offer enhanced patient care in the new facility.

Clients who enter the expanded location will see a more than 50 percent increase in usable treatment space, which CPT officials said would foster a more comfortable and functional area for treatment and exercises.

The new location also offers improved parking and access in concert with changing rooms and showers. The additional space will also allow for a staff increase.

Richard J. Ezzy, CPT’s general manager, said that the business was bursting at the seams when it was housed at 64 North St.

“We had really outgrown our space in Houlton,” he noted. “We feel the new space will be more comfortable not only for the patients, but for our employees as well.”
