Baker lead Valley past Hyde School

AUGUSTA – Senior guard Kristin Baker poured in 28 points to lead the Valley girls basketball team to a 51-38 semifinal victory over the Hyde School of Bath Thursday at the Augusta Civic Center.

The Cavaliers of Bingham advanced to Saturday’s final at 1:05 p.m.

Jeri-Dee Fitzmaurice chipped in with 14 points for the winners.

Opal Flesichman paced Hyde with 13 points and Hillary Lundgren added 10 for defending Western Maine Class D champion Hyde.
