Chasse, Cyr lead Fort Kent to victory

VAN BUREN – Nicole Chasse scored a first-half goal to lead the Fort Kent Warriors to a 2-0 high school girls soccer victory over the Van Buren Crusaders Wednesday night.

Lindsey Cyr added a goal in the second half for 2-1 Fort Kent. April Cyr made four saves on seven shots. Lisa Levasseur stopped eight of 14 shots for 0-2-2 Van Buren.

Fort Fairfield 7, Cen. Aroostook 0

At Mars Hill on Wednesday, seven players scored a goal apiece as the Tigers cruised.

Angie Burnell, Kerri Cunningham, Sadie Ayoob, Rosemary Williams, Alison Blaisdell, Kelsy York and Ruth Arato tallied goals for 3-0-1 Fort Fairfield. Lauren Beckwith made two saves on two shots. Latisha Neece racked up 22 saves on 39 shots for 0-5 Central Aroostook.

Hermon alumni game set Saturday

The Hermon High School field hockey alumni game will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Hermon varsity field hockey team will play former Hermon field hockey players.

All former Hermon field hockey players are encouraged to attend and participate.
