Brewer man seeks fifth term in House

BREWER – Former state legislator Charles “Dusty” Fisher, a Democrat from Brewer, is seeking a fifth term for House District 21 in Brewer.

Fisher, a 33-year resident of Brewer and former teacher, served on the Legal, Veterans and Transportation Committees during his legislative years. He also has served as a director for the Bansco Federal Credit Union, and was Brewer’s Citizen of the Year in 2003.

Fisher serves on the board of trustees for the Community College System and on the Harness Racing Promotion Board and is involved in fund raising for scholarships for Brewer High School students and for Eastern Maine Community College.

Fisher’s priorities for this next term are further property tax relief, increased support for education, improving roads and bridges, providing better access for health care and working to meet the needs of the veterans community.

Fisher is married to Ellen Fisher, a Brewer teacher. They have two adult children.
