St. Albans to install new board Monday

ST. ALBANS – A new Board of Selectmen will be seated Monday after last week’s elections ousted two incumbents and elected a completely new board of three selectmen.

Veteran selectmen Harry Bridge and Jimmie Neal were defeated by Wolfgang Fasse, Gary Hanson and Chester Morse Jr.

The new board’s first order of business will be to elect a chairman, followed by a series of appointments. These include animal control officer, sexton, emergency management director, election warden, sealer of weights and measures, and two representatives to Kennebec Valley Council of Governments.

The board will also act on the warrant for owners of unlicensed dogs, a policy for disbursement of funds and gun permits.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the St. Albans Town Office.
