LINCOLN – A groundbreaking ceremony for the Lincoln Lakes Region Dialysis Center will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, on the Transalpine Road.
Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor is developing a hemodialysis center to provide kidney dialysis for more than 20 patients from the Katahdin region and north. The $243,000 center includes seven dialysis machines, a water treatment system and a computerized patient management system.
The center will be overseen by Northeast Nephrology PA of Bangor and supervised by current EMMC nursing management.
Only stable, chronic hemodialysis patients will be treated at the center. All new patients will still begin their treatment at EMMC.
