WATERVILLE – Actor Aidan Quinn, who was stopped and arrested for operating under the influence of intoxicants Oct. 25, has requested a jury trial to determine his guilt.
Waterville police Officer Steve Pelletier stopped Quinn, 44, at 2:08 a.m., when he noticed Quinn driving a Chevrolet Impala erratically on Kennedy Memorial Drive. Quinn was then charged with OUI.
Quinn’s first appearance was Nov. 19 at the Waterville District Court. Quinn pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. The actor is scheduled to stand trial in Kennebec County Superior Court. No court date has been set.
Quinn, who resides in Englewood, N.J., was in Maine filming “Empire Falls.” After filming ended, Quinn left the state and returned home.
Quinn’s Breathalyzer test recorded a blood-alcohol level that exceeded Maine’s legal limit of 0.08, according to Waterville police Chief John Morris.
