Thanks, KidsPeace

We, the students of Katahdin High School, would like to extend our gratitude for the services Kids-Peace has provided for us. Because of KidsPeace and their sponsors, our prom will have a deeper meaning this year. This prom will symbolize the compassion, dedication and the generosity of you, your staff and your sponsors.

In recent months, the Katahdin region has endured financial hardships. KidsPeace, recognizing the financial impact on area proms, initiated a drive to collect formal attire to help defray the cost. The ensuing response was phenomenal. No only did KidsPeace collect formal attire, they also arranged for an area business to host the event. On March 26, Miller’s department store in Millinocket opened its doors to allow area students the opportunity to look at the “free” formal attire.

We were overwhelmed by Kids-Peace’s generosity, kindness and dedication. We recognize and deeply appreciate the time, effort and caring that went into every detail of making this event such a huge success. The gowns, tuxedos and accessories were beautiful. We were amazed at the number of dresses that were available.

Thank you, KidsPeace, for making it possible for those of us whom would otherwise be financially unable to attend the prom. Your dedication, compassion and generosity are an inspiration to us all.
