Sullivan paces Katahdin to victory

SHERMAN STATION – Brian Sullivan notched a double-double, racking up 18 points and 10 rebounds to go with five blocked shots and three steals, to lead Katahdin to a 66-60 schoolboy basketball victory over Southern Aroostook.

The Cougars outscored the Warriors of Dyer Brook 23-14 in the third quarter to turn a one-point game into a 12-point lead. Owen McCarthy chipped in with 14 points for the winners and Sam Cyr added 12.

Corey Edkins and Corey Shields paced Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook with 18 points each.
