CASTINE – By 2-to-1, local voters returned incumbent Selectman Kenneth Eaton to office Tuesday.

Eaton received 379 votes to retain another three-year term on the board, defeating challenger Daniel Gregorie, who garnered 154 votes.

Francis “Joe” Spinazola won the open seat on the school committee by about 3-to-1. Spinazola received 390 votes to Robert Bonini’s 134 votes. Spinazola will fill the seat left vacant by John Cole, who chose not to run again.

Riva Berleant received 459 votes, running unopposed for a seat on the Witherle Memorial Library board of trustees.
