Pingree to discuss family issues at library

BANGOR -U.S. Senate candidate Chellie Pingree will address issues of concern to women and families in eastern Maine during a special forum at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at the Bangor Public Library, Harlow Street.

The forum, sponsored by Penobscot Friends of Chellie Pingree, will be attended by leaders of area job training, health care, educational and social service organizations. They will outline the most pressing issues facing women and families.

Attendees will present information and ideas concerning the economy, housing, health care, education, welfare reform and other issues affecting women in Maine.

The former state Senate majority leader, Pingree will discuss the direction needed to provide solutions.
