LINCOLNVILLE – St. Patrick’s Day has been earmarked as the formal kickoff for the Lincolnville Central School capital campaign.
Residents, their families and all friends of Lincolnville are invited to participate in the campaign’s Go for the Gold kickoff at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at MBNA’s Ginley Hall on U.S. Route 1 in Northport. Food, musical entertainment and a host of games will be offered during the two-hour event.
The day will provide an opportunity for participants to receive a progress report and speak with members of the Lincolnville Central School capital campaign committee, the school building committee and other school-related officials about the campaign.
The goal of the Lincolnville Central School capital campaign is to raise $1 million through local contributions. If successful, the school will receive roughly an additional $2.5 million in private funding.
Members of the capital campaign committee have spent the past six months planning their campaign and preparing for the “Go for the Gold” drive on behalf of a new Lincolnville Central School.
