CAMDEN – Dr. Beth Koester, a board-certified family practitioner, has joined the Penobscot Bay Medical Center staff and has opened her family medicine practice at 38 Curtis Ave., Camden.
Koester was family practice section chief at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston before coming to Camden. At the same time, she practiced at Poland Family Practice in Poland.
Koester earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a graduate degree in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology before turning to medicine.
She received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. While there, she was awarded the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for Scholastic Achievement and the Lange Medical Publications Award for Outstanding Achievement.
