SURRY – Author and educator Philmore Wass will be the guest speaker at the Surry Community Improvement Association meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Surry Elementary School.

Wass will discuss “Lighthouse in My Life,” the book he wrote about growing up in a Maine lighthouse keeper’s family on Libby Island, a key lighthouse site at the entrance to Machias Bay.

The public is welcome. There is no charge.
