ROCKLAND – A woman who was struck by a car while walking through a parking lot was listed in fair condition Friday afternoon at Penobscot Bay Medical Center.
Sgt. Jeff McLaughlin of the Rockland police said Marie MacRae, 75, of Rockland was walking across the parking lot at Shaw’s supermarket when she was struck by a 1998 Subaru station wagon driven by Angelina Dagnostino, 78, of Camden. The accident occurred at about 10:30 a.m.
MacRae was taken by ambulance to Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport with leg injuries, McLaughlin said.
The nursing supervisor said MacRae was in surgery Friday afternoon, but that she expected the woman to recover.
