DEXTER – SAD 46 Adult Community Education will sponsor a state approved Certified Medication Aide (CNA-M) class from 5-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 11. The course will involve learning terms, abbreviations and drug calculations necessary for safe drug administration. Students will participate in 60 hours of classroom time, 40 hours of clinical practice and 20 hours of lab time. The instructor is registered nurse Sue Duplisea.
Candidates must be listed in the Maine CNA registry and have been employed as a CNA for at least one year. Applicant interviews will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. June 12 at the Dexter Regional High School Library.
