Marble, Dragons hold off Houlton

HOULTON – Ashley Marble threw in a game-high 19 points to lead Class D Woodland to a 47-44 schoolgirl basketball win over Class B Houlton on Friday night.

Julia Knights added 12 for Woodland, who outscored Houlton 10-7 in the fourth, after it was tied after three quarters.

Hannah Socoby led the Shiretowners with 15 points while Sarah Beasley popped in 13.

Nick Simon racked up 53 saves while facing 57 shots for 1-3 Stearns of Millinocket.
