Gov. Bush won the election and it is time for Al Gore to concede for the good of the country. He should pack it in, shut up, send the lawyers home, quit twisting the truth and give up the tantrums on TV.

Children are naturally eager and inquisitive learners, who pursue both what interests them and what is relevant to their lives. Let’s continue to make an effort to put children in charge of their learning.
Teachers have been promoting individual learning well before computers. Individual learning styles are recognized by educators and then further developed by both student and teacher.
Do we really want an educational system structured around computers rather than personal educators? I believe all children should have supervised access to computers; it’s to my understanding that all schools and public libraries in Maine do.
Learning is about getting at something. For educators, it’s about connecting with each student and treating them as an individual. Scott C. Kady Montville
