The recent death of Canada’s former prime minister, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, represents the loss of a tremendous intellect and a great statesman, who helped hold Canada together during a trying time. Well-educated, Trudeau was the epitome of bilingualism.
A five-part CBC series about this great leader to the north brought tears to my eyes.
