Car show, competition to aid Blue Hill Library

BLUE HILL — A car show and competition will be held to benefit the Blue Hill Library.

The Wheels 2000 Car Show, sponsored by The Ellsworth American newspaper, is expected to draw hundreds of antique cars, trucks and other show vehicles.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 15.

Categories will be broken out: 1910 to 1929; 1930 to 1949; 1950 to 1959; 1960-1969; 1970 to the present, sports cars, modifieds, muscle cars, street rods, trucks, 4×4, Corvettes, jeeps and special interest vehicles. Attendees of the show will vote for a favorite in each. Trophies will be awarded.

Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children 12 and under, or $5 for a family. All proceeds benefiting the Blue Hill Library. Exhibitor registration will be held 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15. For information call 667-2576.
