WEST BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Applications for Maine high school juniors interested in participating in the Bigelow Laboratory’s 11th annual science program are due Friday, March 3.
The Maureen Keller program will be held May 6-10 at the laboratory’s facilities on McKown Point. The weeklong internship will give 16 students the opportunity to work with some of the best oceanographers in the country at the state’s largest marine research institution.
Students will be involved in field experiments that include a day at sea and spend time in the laboratory to have a better understanding of science careers. Room, board and chaperones are provided at no cost to the students. For more information, call 633-9600 or visit the Web page at www.bigelow.org.
