Teague leads Lawrence past Waterville

WATERVILLE – Trafton Teague poured in a game-high 30 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made four steals Thursday to pace Lawrence of Fairfield to a 64-47 Class A boys basketball victory over Waterville at Colby College.

Mike Brown tossed in 11 points and Josh Berard handed out seven assists for the Bulldogs.

Justin Walcott netted 14 points to lead Waterville.

At Presque Isle, Lee St. Hilaire’s third goal of the game, coming with just six seconds left in overtime, gave Win-Dale its triumph over Presque Isle.

Bobby Clark assisted on the game-winner, his third assist of the game.

Nick Howard had a goal and two assists for the winners, who hail from Winthrop High and Hall-Dale of Farmingdale. Tim Detriech scored the other goal. Adam St. Onge picked up the win in goal.

Chad Sirois, Andy Beaulieu, Luke Fitzpatrick and Steve Laplante scored for Presque Isle. Fitzpatrick and Beaulieu also had assists along with Joe Flenner, Ryan Stevens and Randy Cyr. Ted Wright manned the net.

Messalonskee 3, Old Town 2

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Trapper Tinker scored two goals, both assisted by Kevin Purnell, to spark 2-2 Messalonskee.

Jake Rancourt scored unassisted and Mitch McPartlin saved 34 of 36 shots for the Eagles of Oakland.

Ryan Bernard notched a goal and assisted on a Griffin Dill goal for Old Town. Nick St. Louis added an assist. Casey Powers made 24 saves on 27 shots.
