PITTSFIELD — A 15-year-old Pittsfield boy was charged with driving without a license after crashing the car he was driving into a tree on the Eelweir Road early Sunday morning.
Speed and driver inexperience were believed to be the cause of the accident, according to Pittsfield Officer Wilford Dodge. Additional charges could be pending.
The unnamed juvenile escaped serious injury because he was wearing a seat belt and air bags deployed on impact, Dodge said. The boy was treated at Sebasticook Valley Hospital for minor injuries and released.
The 1997 Subaru hatchback the boy was driving was totaled, Dodge said. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
