Gill sparks Monks in romp

WATERVILLE – Mary Gill notched St. Joseph’s first goal to lead the Monks in a 3-0 victory over the Thomas Terriers Wednesday in womens’ soccer action.

Kimberly Little and Katie Doucette added goals for St. Joseph’s of Standish while Jamie McGillicuddy recorded two assists. Crystal Graves assisted Little’s goal. Kendra Brown saved three of seven shots for St. Joseph’s.

Goalie Angela Stevens saved 18 of 29 shots for 2-9-1 Thomas of Waterville.

UM-Farmington 8, MMA 0

At Farmington, multiple players scored goals to lead 9-4 UM-Farmington over Maine Maritime Academy.

UM-Farmington’s Pam Goyette earned the shutout, making no saves in the game.

Tracey Farand made 23 saves for Maine Maritime of Castine.

Colby 2, Southern Maine 1

At Gorham, Emi Domoto-Reilly notched an unassisted goal with 16:12 left in the second half as Colby defeated Southern Maine.

Rebecca Bruce scored the game’s first goal 23:17 into the game off a Robynne DeCaprio assist. Goalie Jane Stevens turned away 10 of 11 shots for the 7-4 White Mules of Waterville.

Alison Drury provided Southern Maine’s lone goal with 11:49 left in the first half. This goal, assisted by Becky Manson, was Drury’s 12th on the season. Andrea Guerette saved 13 of 18 shots for the 10-7 Huskies.

Men’s soccer

Husson 1, College of the Atlantic 0

At Bangor, Jon Jones scored the only goal to pace the 9-5-1 Braves.

Lee Bennett notched the assist on the goal. Nick Wallace stopped two of three shots.

Zach Sherman made five saves on six shots for College of the Atlantic of Bar Harbor.
