DYER BROOK – Kristi Brooker and Nicki Lyons each had a goal and an assist to help Southern Aroostook to a 3-1 schoolgirl soccer win over Hodgdon Tuesday.
Rhonda Chambers added a goal for 1-1 Southern Aroostook. Goalie Brandi Crandall stopped 15 of the 16 shots she faced.
For the 3-1 Hawks, Breanne Blanchette scored. Goalkeeper Danielle Brown recorded one save on four shots.
Fort Fairfield 4, Limestone 0
At Fort Fairfield, Jen Enman had a goal and an assist, and Sabrina Butler, Maranda Butler and Melissa Butler added a goal apiece to lead the 1-3 Tigers to their first win of the season.
Kiersten McCrea recorded two assists for Fort Fairfield. Goalie Jessica Barnes made six saves on seven shots.
For Limestone, now 0-4, Sarah Durepo stopped 22 of the 26 shots she faced.
Hodgdon 7, So. Aroostook 1
At Dyer Brook, Adam Bell scored twice, and Mike Wallace added two goals and an assist to pace the 3-0-1 Hawks.
Caleb Chabot, Dave Gray and Dave Stewart all scored for Hodgdon. Goalkeeper Matt Allen made 11 saves on 12 shots.
Josh Holman netted a goal for 1-2 Southern Aroostook. Matt Malone and Kevin Dubois combined to stop 22 of 29 shots on goal.
Limestone 6, Fort Fairfield 2
At Limestone, Wade Trosper and Raul Luna scored twice as the Eagles put together six second-half goals en route to their first win of the season.
David King and Bill Alto added a goal each for Limestone, now 1-2-1. Sean Ward and Pete Bradley combined in goal to save three of five shots.
For the 1-3 Tigers, Brandon Traknis and Ryan Helstrom scored. Goalie Ryan Babin made 19 saves on 25 shots.
Presque Isle 1, Fort Kent 0
At Fort Kent, Andy Goumas scored with 20 minutes left in the game as the Wildcats improved to 2-0.
C.J. McKenna recorded the assist. Goalkeeper Jeff Yeager made eight saves on 25 shots.
Goalie Nick Thibodeau made six saves on 14 shots for Fort Kent.
