The following students were named “Good Students of the Month” for December at Mount View High School in Thorndike.

Freshman Brien Flewelling, son of Sue and Roy Flewelling of Unity; sophomore Phoebe Garfinkel, daughter of Mary Kaldenbaugh and Ron Garfinkel of Jackson; junior Alison Locke, daughter of Carolyn and Gerard Locke of Troy; and senior Sonya Reynolds, daughter of Alisa Reynolds of Thorndike. —-

Gould Academy senior James Wilcox, son of James and Kathryn Wilcox of Dover-Foxcroft, has been accepted for admission to Bates College in Lewiston. Wilcox is an honor student and varsity athlete on Gould’s soccer, ski, and lacrosse teams.

Gould Academy is an independent college preparatory school with special programs in arts, student leadership and skiing. —-
