Santa’s Helper Fund thanks recent donors

The Santa’s Helper Fund would like to recognize recent contributors as well as contributors whose donations were omitted accidentally over the course of the campaign. Your gifts are greatly appreciated, and we would like to thank every individual donor whose efforts have made the 1998 Santa’s Helper campaign an extraordinary success.

Michael, Kara Beth, Gary Dub, Matthew, Jackie and Virginia sent $30 in memory of their Grampy Dub. Jane Baron of Calais donated $150. Susan Dorr of Machias gave $10 in memory of her nephew, State Trooper Jeffrey S. Parola. Jean and Woody Carville of Orono sent $25. A $15 donation in memory of Jason Kneeland came from Nana and Gramp in Stockton Springs. William Dawe of Brewer contributed $10. An anonymous donation of $1,000 arrived to specifically assist people in Piscataquis County. The Whitcomb-Baker Post 4633 VFW Auxiliary in Hampden donated $25.

Merrilee Kirby of Glenburn donated $25. Margaret H. Hagerthy of Bar Harbor sent $20. Thomas and Jason Murray of Bucksport contributed $30. James McFadden of Lubec gave $50. Three anonymous donations totaling $150 arrived. A $25 donation from Lincoln was given in loving memory of Haley Clark from Grampy Andy and Grammie Betsy. Lindsay Tudor of Dover-Foxcroft donated $50. Matt Duffy of Blue Hill gave $50. Leona and Richard Cary of Old Town contributed $25 in memory of May Gray. The Carmel Senior Citizens Club donated $60. Jeanne Rudnicki of Bangor sent $25. Jayne Bartley of Millinocket gave $25 in memory of Ben Bartley.

Terry, Linda and Mary-Elizabeth Kelley of Bar Harbor donated $50. The Broadway Fashion Bug Plus sent $25. A $10 donation came in memory of Marie (Nana) Johnson from Shannon in Boston. Keith Barnes of Bar Harbor sent $35. An anonymous donation of $40 came in honor of naval aviation. An anonymous donation of $100 arrived. Jonathan and Joseph Greene of Hampden donated $30.

A $25 donation came from Little Justy O’Brien in West Enfield. The Brewer Federal Credit Union held a “Princess Bear” raffle, and they donated the $100 proceeds to Santa’s Helper. An anonymous donation of $25 was made in memory of Lucas T. Fossie of Millinocket. Tina and Ken in Springfield gave $20 in memory of Edna, Ethel, Don and Arnold. An anonymous donation of $1.46 arrived. Wilma A. Bradford of Bangor contributed $25. An anonymous donation from Bangor in the amount of $30 arrived. Susan Collins of Bangor donated $50 in memory of Logan Graves, a little boy from Presque Isle who recently lost his battle with cancer. William Tapley of West Brooksville donated $10 in memory of Jason. Richard Young of Milford gave $10. Barbara and Family on Swans Island sent $10 in loving memory of Robert L. Tozier. Betty and Wayne Worster of Lee contributed $20 in memory of loved ones who have passed on, and Sara Willis of Prospect Harbor donated $50.

Thank you for your donations to the Santa’s Helper Fund. Your assistance is very meaningful to those who are helped by the Salvation Army. Tearful faces reveal the gratitude of those you have helped. Please accept our thanks as firsthand appreciation from the needy.
