WATERVILLE — MaineGeneral Health’s MEDED Department — community health and wellness services — at the Waterville campus will move to a new location at MaineGeneral’s Thayer Unit on Oct. 19.
Currently at the Seton Unit on Chase Avenue, the Waterville MEDED office will be closed Oct. 15-16 and will reopen Oct. 19 at the new location on the ground floor, Thayer Unit, 149 North St. Clients are asked to use the Thayer Unit main entrance. Patients reporting for appointments will need first to register at patient registration desk. A volunteer at the information desk will be available to escort clients to the new MEDED location.
Community health services provided through MEDED include diabetes care (including foot care clinics), smoking cessation, immunizations, dietary counseling, travel medicine, health screenings and other outpatient education services. The new telephone number will be 872-1760. MEDED services also are available at the Augusta campus by calling 621-1182.
